After crossing the high mountains and low valleys, the paddy fields and wilderness came to the southwest of Sichuan.

Here, the mother river, the Yangtze, 6,300 kilometers long with 5,000 years of Chinese culture, originated from the confluence of the Jinsha and the Minjiang rivers. Our ancestors saw that the three rivers merged here, and were extraordinary. A city, named Rongzhou was built here, also known as Yibin.

Yibin is both a wine capital and a literary resort. There is no other choice for building a Baijiu Culture Museum.

China has Baijiu, which predates civilization and has existed for five thousand years, Baijiu is not just a gift for joy and fun, but a medium of harmony between man and nature, a philosophy that embraces the world.

Since the sun and the moon are round, the wine vessel is round, the ripples are round, the wheel of time is round. Round is the edge, and the source of all.

Wine, people, life, and the nature are all connected through this circle.

Sky : Vessel

The main hall is located above the mountainside of Xishan, the azure swirl cup produced by Ru, the first porcelain kiln in the Northern Song Dynasty, became the inspiration of the new landmark.

The Baijiu Museum reflects the beautiful proportions of the cup enforcing the connection between Yibin and the Song Dynasty, as well as the great poets of the era such as Huang Tingjian and Fan Chengjie.

Ground : Cellar

With its circular geometry, the visitor center at the base of the mountain is elegant and calm, the walls are solid with a mixed of light and dark stone.

It is simple and solemn, the composition of the architecture is clear, with a strong sense of literature and art, making Yibin a cultural icon.

Mountain : Nature

The Yangtze River to the south, and Guandou Mountain to the north create the landscape axis of the site.

A series of water features connect the Baijiu museum site with the larger University precinct, and the natural park lands of Yibin.

A large escalator takes visitors from the first floor exhibitions to the exhibition halls housed in the main building atop the hill.

A spiral ramp circulating the central void takes visitors from the third floor exhibitions to those housed on the fourth floor and continues to the restaurants and tasting rooms on the roof terrace.
A sky bridge connects the third floor with the top of the adjacent hill and landscape paths below.
